Imagen Consulting Limited was formed in 2002 to establish the combined consultant engineering skills base of Peter Sheppard and Douglas Lawrence. Alan Royston joined Imagen in 2010.

Our work centres on engineering components of development projects—primarily agricultural—together with water-resource surveys and soil mapping. Remote sensing and GIS technologies support projects where existing mapping data is limited.

The team assesses each project objectively and provides practical advice based on physical realities. We adapt rapidly evolving remote-sensing technologies to deliver accurate, timely and cost-effective spatial data tailored to each client.

Imagen is a fully independent engineering and imagery consultancy with experience across southern, east, west and central Africa. Our archive of satellite imagery, terrain models, survey maps and cadastral control helps us respond efficiently, including in remote areas.
